ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have a section here for this. I have a few questions. First off, I have never done any type of spray tanning before. I am a real rookie here. How long will it last and what is the cost. Do you have packages or just sell one at a time?
ReplyDeleteChristina, I can overwhelm you with information, but I will give you a few basics. The tan you receive from the Versa Spa UV-Free tanning system will last about 4 - 7 days. The more hydrated you keep your skin the longer it will last. The first time you come in to spray you will want to make sure you shave the day before, shower and exfoliate well the day you come in. Wear loose clothing and plan not to take a shower for about 6 hours after you get sprayed.

I'm glad you're here too for questions and answers, thank you! I have a question for you, I haven't had any problems but a friend of mine spray tanned at a different salon and her legs came out really streaky. Is there a reason why this would happen and could it happen with the Versa Spa you have?
ReplyDeleteStacey, great question. I will answer that from the experiences I have seen.
ReplyDelete1.) Improper exfoliation
2.) The skin has been contaminated with a moisturizer that has a petroleum base to it instead of an aloe base
3.) Tight fitting clothing
4.) If it were more of a line instead of a streak, the machine may have sprayed too much solution and/or she didn't get it evened out when she was drying off. (it just ran down her leg) Common problem with some other types of spray booths like Mystic Tan.
Now that we have our blog about our UV-Free Versa Spa, I want to throw a reminder out to everyone who uses both UV and UV-Free tanning. The Sun Angel will not like it if you are using the UV-Free tanning in conjunction with UV tanning. What happens on the Sun Angel is that the sensor reading is "fooled" into thinking you actually have a deeper darker natural tan than you actually do. This will give you a much higher dose of UV resulting in a sun burn rather than building up your base tan. Having make-up on can give you a similar result. We recommend you remove all your make-up just before taking your custom skin sensor reading when using the Sun Angel.

ReplyDeleteStacey, I had a similar issue a few years ago. It was a body lotion that I was using. Even though I would shower before I came in it still had some sort of oil base stuff in it that really made me look horrible...I finally figured it out after the 3rd time :(

ReplyDeleteI really like the versa spa over the mystic tan machines. The moisturizer spray and the fact that it will dry you off is so much nicer. Does anyone know what the difference is between the clear and the bronze spray?
ReplyDeleteVersa Spa over Mystic tan any day. The drying at the end...moisturizer application that you can choose and clear or bronze spray give you so many more options. The end result is very similar but overall quality of the process it much nicer..
